Momentum believes in the warm hospitality care that includes the readiness of instructors and the classroom setting prior to the arrival of the guests. Though this is a small portion of the preparation for the class, it sets the stage for how our guests feel when they arrive and communicates the their dignity & value as a participant in the class. Your support in this area would ensure the comfort of the environment that directly impacts the level of engagement and value these classes provide to our guests. Please note that Momentum classes are not held at Mel Trotter Ministries, but at an offsite location.
This volunteer role requires a walkthrough of the classroom space with a member of the Workforce Development Team prior to being scheduled for the first shift.
Hospitality Helper
- Able to lift up to 15lbs
- Able to make coffee
- Gifted in creating warm and inviting environment for participants
- Willing to help setup, clean and vacuum spaces used for class
- Willing to engage guests in appropriate conversations
