The Beverage Room Helper prepares coffee and water for the Thanksgiving Community Meal. Volunteers will continuously fill water and coffee dispensers as needed for the Kitchen Runners and Kitchen Team Leaders. Beverage Room Helper volunteers must be 18 years or older.

By signing up, all volunteers understand that they are serving as volunteers for Mel Trotter Ministries (MTM). Volunteers are not employees of MTM and, therefore, are not entitled to any benefits provided to MTM employees. Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Do you love to cook and enjoy spending time with others? Help us serve warm, nutritious meals to our guests in the evenings. As a Dinner Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our participants and contribute to our mission of serving those in need.

Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and service. Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and respectful manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area. Help with inventory management and restocking supplies. Follow food safety guidelines and procedures. Cleaning up spills. Making sure guests have what they need at their table. 

Dress Code:

Closed-toe shoes. Shirts that end past the hips and cover the midriff as the person performs their duties
(including lifting, bending, and reaching) and a modest neckline.All garments should fit properly and be clean and in good condition (e.g., no holes, fraying,
stains, discoloration, etc.).Pants e.g., jeans, khaki style, Capris, ankle pants, etc. (pajamas, scrubs, sweatpants, athletic, or yoga styles are NOT
permitted)


You will be an integral part of keeping the kitchen running and moving to serve our guests!
